DAS Solar and OSW Sign 500MW Distribution Agreement to Strengthen Australia's Solar Market

2025-04-10

Sydney, Apr. 10, 2025 - DAS Solar, a leader in N-type PV technology, has announced a strategic partnership at Smart Energy 2025 with OSW, Australia's largest solar distributor, for the distribution of 500MW of high-efficiency PV modules over the next three years. The signing ceremony was attended by CEO of OSW, Anson Zhang and Sales VP of APMEA+LA of DAS Solar, Joey Zheng, marking a significant milestone in the company's continued expansion in the Australian market.

Australia has rapidly emerged as a global leader in solar energy penetration, with over 30GW of installed solar capacity and an increasing demand for rooftop solar solutions. The total capacity is expected to reach 47.50GW in 2025 and grow at a CAGR of 14.07% to reach 91.74GW by 2030. The country's favorable government policies, abundant sunlight, and widespread residential and commercial solar adoption make it a key market for global PV manufacturers. Known for its strong supply chain, extensive distribution network, and technical expertise, OSW plays a critical role in accelerating the transition to renewable energy in Australia. By partnering with OSW, DAS Solar will be able to enhance its reach across the market, delivering its advanced N-type technology to various sectors.

DAS Solar entered the Australian market in 2023 with the launch of the DAS Black series for residential rooftop applications. In recent years, DAS Solar has made significant strides in the Australian market with its continuous technological innovation, achieving an average mass-production efficiency of 26.7% and an open-circuit voltage of 742mV for the latest TOPCon 4.0 Plus cells. Recognized for higher efficiency, lower degradation, and better performance in high-temperature conditions, DAS Solar's modules are particularly well-suited for Australia's climate, where high irradiance and temperature fluctuations demand high-reliability solar solutions.

In addition to its technological advancements, DAS Solar has established a subsidiary and built a localized sales and service network, ensuring timely logistics, technical support, and after-sales service for Australian customers. The company's products meet the CEC certification requirements, and several projects in ANZ have already been connected to the grid, contributing to the region's green energy transition.

The 500MW distribution agreement is a testament to the shared vision for sustainable energy growth. By combining DAS Solar's cutting-edge N-type technology with OSW's market leadership, the partnership will accelerate the adoption of cost-effective and high-performance solar solutions across Australia. Both companies are committed to ensuring the highest standards in product quality, supply chain efficiency, and customer support, reinforcing their long-term commitment to Australia's renewable energy future. As the country moves towards net-zero emissions, DAS Solar and OSW aim to play a pivotal role in providing the technology and expertise needed to power homes and businesses with reliable solar energy.
