On May 10th-11th, Barcelona played host to the Solar & Storage España 2023. Kyle Xu, Head of Sales Europe for DAS Solar Co., Ltd. and General Manager for DAS Solar Deutschland GmbH, attended the conference and delivered a speech in session “Going Local”.

Spain, located in southern Europe, boasts exceptional geographical and climatic advantages that provide a wealth of solar resources. Being one of the earliest European countries to implement an energy transition strategy, Spain added a significant 7.5 GW of new solar capacity in 2022, elevating its status to the second largest solar market in Europe, surpassed only by Germany.

In the conference, Kyle outlined DAS Solar's decentralized manufacturing strategy and plans for the European market. DAS Solar currently boasts of 14 major manufacturing bases in China and aims to increase the production capacity of N-type high-efficiency cells and modules to 30GW respectively by the end of 2023. Kyle emphasized that decentralized manufacturing enables DAS Solar to achieve fast delivery and significantly reduce transportation costs while prioritizing meeting local market demand. In 2022, DAS Solar announced the official establishment of a Germany subsidiary to better serve local customers in Europe. Additionally, a well-established supply chain and warehousing system in Europe is currently being established, which will serve as the center of its European operations and form a key part of its global expansion strategy. DAS Solar remains committed to studying the advantages and disadvantages of decentralized manufacturing and has included Europe and the United States in its future manufacturing development plans. Notably, DAS Solar's efficient N-type modules recently obtained the French Carbon Footprint certification, which is expected to further enhance DAS Solar entry into the European market.

Over the years, DAS Solar maintained a global perspective, which has enabled the company to expand its products and services to over 60 countries and regions worldwide. With the establishment of its German subsidiary, DAS Solar aims to further expand its overseas presence and accelerate the overall layout of the photovoltaic markets in regions such as Australia, Japan, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Latin America. DAS Solar is committed to steady growth in overseas markets and remains focused on meeting the needs of customers in all corners of the world.
