Mass production technology of Mono PERC cells is approaching the theoretical efficiency limit, i.e., 24.5%. Hence, a new-generation cell technology is seriously needed. The theoretical efficiency of N-type TOPCon cell technology is close to 29.0%, and the current mass-produced cell efficiency is > 25%. As the upstream and downstream industrial chains and equipment supply become increasingly sophisticated, the conditions for mass production are in place. The first year of mass production of N-type technology was 2022, and the market share will increase gradually into the future. The market share of N-type cell technology is expected to reach 50% by 2030, and the N-type TOPCon will account for 70% of the share.
