Leveraging its leading advantages in decarbonization, intelligence, and intensification, the DAS Solar Taizhou base was successfully selected as the "Green Factory " by Jiangsu Province.
For advancing high-quality development and achieving the zero carbon goals, green industrial growth is a crucial strategy for addressing national resource and environmental challenges, as well as facilitating industrial transformation and upgrading for green development within the sector. Efforts need to be made to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, to improve green development standards, and to demonstrate green leadership fully.
As one of the factories embodying DAS Solar R&D and intelligent manufacturing strategy, the DAS Solar Taizhou base has developed innovative equipment applications rapidly, built modern production workshops, and equipped with intelligent and automated manufacturing lines. With the help of information systems such as MES, facilitate the management of the entire production process, improving production efficiency, reducing energy consumption levels, ensuring product quality, and strengthening the enterprise's competitiveness by achieving lean and standardized production throughout the whole process. Using the energy intelligent management system, equipment and departments' energy usage data is automatically collected and analyzed, resulting in an increase in energy efficiency, a reduction in waste, an improvement in equipment operations, a significant reduction in production costs, and a reduction in energy consumption.
By improving technology and processes, the DAS Solar Taizhou base has achieved green development through eco-friendly product design, intensive land use, clean production, waste resource utilization, and low-carbon energy use. Through the comprehensive use of wastewater treatment stations, it is possible to treat alkaline waste liquid environmentally friendly, save money on the treatment of alkaline waste in wastewater, reduce wastewater discharge, improve acidic gas treatment efficiency, and reduce harmful gas emissions. By saving costs, it has achieved resourceful and circular waste treatment. The Taizhou base is certified under GB/T19001 for quality management systems, GB/T45001 for occupational health and safety management systems, GB/T24001 for environmental management systems, GB/T23331 for energy management systems, and GB/T23001 for integration of informatization and industrialization management systems, demonstrating a high level of quality, occupational health and safety, environmental protection, safe production, and energy management.
DAS Solar's ESG development strategy has prioritized technological leadership and green development at the heart of its base construction from the start, focusing deeply on the harmonious development of the environment and society. The company has significantly reduced total energy consumption through green intelligent manufacturing, stringent control over greenhouse gas emissions, and enhancing overall resource utilization efficiency. DAS Solar contributes to the global effort to achieve carbon neutrality by participating in the publication of white papers on photovoltaic recycling and circular use. By the end of November 2023, it has saved approximately 7.18 million tons of standard coal annually and reduced carbon dioxide emissions by about 37.1 million tons. In 2023, PV Tech recognized DAS Solar as the best ESG performing photovoltaic company, having earned certifications for the Achilles management platform, the French Carbon Footprint, and the Italian EPD. This achievement underscores DAS Solar's commitment to ESG, ignites new productive forces, and supports the early realization of global zero carbon goals.
